Sweet + Sour
Although, Wednesday’s are normally meant to be a middle ground of the week, I find them to be a great opportunity to unwind. It prepares you for that deliverable needed by Friday COB, but it also prepares you for that weekend ordeal. Whether it’s a date or fun outing with friends or isolation from the d’evils, a cocktail needs to be in hand.
When I think of whiskey, the first image that comes to mind is some old, down-on-his-luck Irish fellow trying to make a last toast to god’s before his imminent sleepily departure. And I felt this image needed to be changed into something more sleek—sexy even. The concept of whiskey needed a revamp. So I did just that.
Rosemary is often associated with a meaty dish. Something with body. Something as robust as that chicken breast you had for lunch the other day. Something as robust as that zucchini you sauteed for the millionth time. And, to me, a whiskey is all about body. Thus rosemary had to be the pairing. Lime can only elevate a situation or “lituation” as my peers call it. Hope you enjoy.
